Great place to stay in Positano, Hotel room was very comfortable and quiet large with a good view of the water .Good breakfast and the liift down to the beach was wonderful and from there it is easy 5-10 minute walk into town along the beach path.
The lovely balcony for a beautiful view of the Mediterranean sea.
just 5 minute walk to the Siena historical area - great location; internet connection was good; very friendly and helpful
The location was great and the lift to the beach in positano is a must!
The Staff were so friendly and helpful. Always ready with a friendly greeting and happy to help with tourist and sight seeing information even checked my travelling arrangements for me.
No nothing I did not like about the hotel. Signage to the hotel from the road into Positano was easily followed it would be beneficial to the hotel to review the signage from the ferry to the hotel reception.
The price was very reasonable for the hotel location and facilities. I personally did not mind walking all the steps to get to the hotel or to go most anywhere from the hotel because I value exercise and travelled light, with a backpack only. Even if you have a large suitcase, the porters made regular trips up from Hotel Pupetto, their "sister" hotel and brought the bags right to the front desk. But anyone with any mobility issues of any kind would not be able to do the number of steps to and from the hotel. In fact, the steps are characteristic of Positano, so just about anywhere you go, steps are an issue. This town is built on a cliff. The balcony/terrace was awesome and we spent a lot of time there just drinking wine and watching the sun go down. The breakfast was outstanding.
This hotel has air conditioning. However, the maids are instructed to leave the doors to the balcony open and the A/C off after cleaning, so when you return to your room after a hot day in the summer, the room is also hot. We mentioned this to Christine at the front desk, who said that she would tell the cleaning staff, but this did not result in a change of the situation. Only the shutter doors to the outside were closed, but the inside doors were open, so the A/C was not on. You need to be assertive with what you need with the desk staff.
Beautiful outlook from the top floor breakfast area, best Coffee from the guy behind the counter I've had in a long time. Room was clean and very pleasant.
Bit fiddly to ge to at the start but once you're there its fantastic.
Friendly staff who spoke great English, very helpful. The rooms were airy and I had a little veranda with a sea view which was great as the beach was quite a walk away down all those steps! The location is a few minutes walk from the most amazing restaurants and the grotto is a handy pick up spot for taxis etc. I would definitely return to Hotel Vittoria next time I am in Positano. Great value for money.
if you are coming by the beach, do not haul your luggage up the 500 steps when the elevators broken- they dont seem in a rush to fix it. instead, call for porter service or go ask hotel pupetto for a porter since they are the same hotel. we didnt know this and hauled our luggage up the stairs and got the most intense workout ever
steps are a lil intense
I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Vittoria. When I arrived Patrice in reception assisted by ordering me some takeaway pasta and I felt much better just being able to settle into my room after my flight had been delayed flights and my luggage did not arrive until the next day. All staff were very helpful and the location was prefect.
Unfortunately the elevator to the beach was not working, this was my only disappointment.
Very nice hotel in positano. Fun to sit in the lobby with amazing views. The rooms also had a large attached veranda with great views. I had to push myself to get out and explore the town.
Clean, helpful staff, good breakfast, nice view from deck
I thought it was overpriced for what it was. Small room, tiny bed. Located away from the main part of Positano; to get to the main beach and downtown Positano from the hotel you had to walk down about 500 steps to the beach, then 20 minutes along a path to the main beach and downtown Positano.
We loved the Hotel Vittoria, especially the beautiful terrace where they serve breakfast in the morning and coffee or drinks later in the day. The staff was helpful and our room was beautiful. We had our own private terrace with a view of the ocean and Positano. It was also nice that we could leave our luggage with the staff of the Hotel Peppeto on the beach and they brought it up for us. We ate a couple of times at the restaurant at the Peppeto as well.
The only downside for some people would be the number of stairs you have to climb to get up there!
Overall friendly staff and clean rooms and service! Only fault about my stay was the three days of rain !!
No WIFI in rooms.
The breakfast was good--service was fine. The room was a nice size but we had trouble regulating the air conditioning and the heat (it poured rain and we got very wet and cold)--
Our room was on the bottom floor and it was very noisy--every night and all night long from both inside the hotel (next room) and outside--the pillows are terrible, like sleeping on rocks. If I visited again I would stay in a B and B or someplace a bit outside the town
